Investigating Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Polymer Composite Reinforced with S-Glass and Luffa Fibres

Abstract The mix of two different type fibres, one is natural and another synthetic fibres were employed as reinforcing media in this study, epoxy based polymer resin was the matrix phase. S-glass luffa had been bonded with to create a novel composite by compression moulding measure effect hybridization laminate utilising five sequencing. To determine mechanical characteristics material using tensile, flexural, strength, specimen named 'SL4' shown highest resulting tensile properties 253 MPa, strength 234 flexural 237 MPa. increment found exhibiting around 20% increase comparing having next higher value all properties. results evidenced that presence fibre layers at interior most portion displayed progressive values investigated characteristics.
